ADJUSTING GLASSES BOUGHT ONLINE

Adjusting glasses bought online isn’t any different than adjusting glasses bought at your local store. Trying the below tips will work just as well!

Your glasses are sitting too low on your nose

  • FOR WIRE FRAME GLASSES

An adjustment should be made on the nose piece, bringing the nose pieces together will raise the frame.

  • FOR WIRE FRAME GLASSES

Run your glasses under hot water for approximately 15-25 seconds. Then bend inward at the bridge, the hinges, or the bend of the temple arm, to make the frame fit more comfortably

Tips: Be careful not to press too hard as plastic can snap even after being heated. Make sure not to overheat your glasses as well, since overheating can result in over deformation, discoloration, or melting. Don't put your lenses under the hot water — you could ruin them. Also, be extra careful to avoid burning your hands

When the glasses are pinching your nose

  • FOR WIRE FRAME GLASSES

thumbs should be used to spread the nose pads out until they fit comfortably against either side of your nose.

  • FOR PLASTIC FRAME GLASSES

Run your glasses under hot water for approximately 15-25 seconds. Then bend outward at the bridge, the hinges, or the bend of the temple arm, to make the frame fit more comfortably.

If your glasses seem tilted or off center

  • FOR WIRE FRAME GLASSES:

  • FOR PLASTIC FRAME GLASSES

Set your eyeglasses upside down on a flat surface. The temples (ear pieces) should both rest on the table. If one of the temples is elevated off the table, it needs an adjustment to match the other temple. If it is plastic/acetate,Use a hair dryer over the part of the frame you want to bend for about 30 seconds to make it a little flexible to adjust.Slowly move the plastic /acetate downward with your hands until it is in the desired position.

When One lens is closer to your eye than the other

  • IF YOUR LEFT LENS IS CLOSER IN

lf your left lens is farther in,bend either the left temple arm in or the right temple arm out at the hinge

  • FOR PLASTIC FRAME GLASSES

If your right lens is farther in,bend If your right lens is farther in,bend left temple arm out at the hinge.

Note: Make sure to try your glasses on after each adjustment is made before making more adjustments. A small adjustment may have a greater impact than you would think. If your frames still do not fit even after multiple adjustments, it may be time to purchase a new pair of eyeglasses
